a little history
I wrote my first song at two years old, and haven’t stopped writing songs since. Raised listening to everything from Beach Boys to Dixie Chicks and performing everywhere from church sanctuaries to basement stages, my vast influences have kept my sound fresh and delightfully unpredictable for the Americana genre.
After a dynamic career as a faith based author, musician, product designer, and creative entrepreneur throughout my twenties, I decided to lean into my more biographical songwriting. I found Modern Electric Sound Recorders in Dallas, Texas in 2019 and recorded six original songs with Beau Bedford (previous work: Paul Cauthen, Leah Blevins, Parker Twomey, Jonathan Terrell). My first EP was positioned to be released in in March 2020…and we all know what happened then.
After two years of gigging, learning, and writing, I went back into the studio in 2022 to finish my album with Charley Wiles as head producer (previous work: Paul Cauthen, Frankie Leonie). Charley played lead guitar for the first recordings and I knew we could finish the album with a cohesive (and yet fresh) sound.
After two years of starting a music career from scratch during a global pandemic, I am proud of where I’ve come and excited about where I am going.
